Last night burglars raided the premises of Wahaha Water Factory at the Sophialaan in Suriname. They took away over SRD 700,000.
According to an employee, there was a big party last night at 'Trap House' where high-ranking police officers were also said to be present. He finds it striking that the perpetrators managed to carry off a safe of almost 100 kilos right under the noses of the police and everyone present.
The looted safe would contain over SRD 700,000 and important documents. The perpetrators gained access to the building by breaking down the back door and also four other doors inside the building. All rooms were turned upside down.
Sunday morning a little after nine o'clock, the declarant was alerted by a resident about the burglary. After the telephone announcement, the declarant rushed to the scene and found the havoc left behind. New Haven police were on the scene to investigate. No suspects have been identified as of yet. The investigation continues.
